The out-of-home streaming service Atmosphere TV needed to refesh their beach-y surf channel to embrace a more fun and modern look. The process began with a new logo design from Kagan Clark, inspired by carved text seen in tiki and beach-town signage. I pulled inspiration from vintage surf magazines and wood block printing to iterate on styleframes along side graphic designer Cin Aguilar. She created a set of illustrative iconography that added playful secondary imagery. The motion language consisted of cleverli stacked mattes, frame-by-frame doodles, posterized time, boiling roughen edges, and water-like strokes emboding ripples and waves.
